Knowing what you are entitled to or what's out there
to support you and the person with care needs can
be the first step in giving you both some real choices
Practical
& Emotional Support
Caring for someone else can mean having to deal
with the stresses of a range of emotions and often
conflicting feelings as well as the practicalities
of the caring situation.
Having
a Break
Sometimes just a couple of hours to do some
shopping or get some sleep is all that's needed.
Or a longer break, such as a weekend or even a week
away from caring, to refresh the spirit and recharge
the batteries.
Carers
Together- Having a Voice
Carers are often the main providers of community
care and should be involved in decisions about the
services provided for the person they care for and
consulted about how health and social care services
