Practical and emotional support

Carers Support Workers are here to listen and discuss with you what you need and how we might help. We try to be as flexible as possible and know how difficult it can be to find time and that some people are juggling work or have other family commitments as well.

If possible we will support you at care planning or hospital discharge meeting or when looking at nursing or residential homes if that's appropriate. There is also a free counselling service if you would like more time to talk through your caring issues.

Volunteers provide additional support for those who might want help with transport, someone to visit on a regular basis or prefer a regular phone call to keep "In Touch"

The Carers Line provides direct access to a Carers Support Worker who will really listen and try to help. You can phone with any query, about your caring situation or if just want to talk. If we don't have the answer we will find it and get back to you as soon as we can. The Carers Line is open Monday - Friday 9- 11am. Mon - Thursday 1-3pm.
