You can become involved with the Carers Centre in a variety of ways:
Volunteering:
We are a well established local voluntary
organisation which benefits from the wider support and experience that can
be offered by carers, former carers, volunteers and people who believe in
raising awareness of carers issues. Volunteers contribute enormously to what
we
do by providing direct support for carers, and the services we provide.
Trustee:
We are managed by the trustees on the management committee who have overall responsibility for the organisation working closely with the staff group. This means attending committee meetings and helping to make the decisions that improve what we do for carers.
Member:
Others with less time available stay involved by becoming a member of the Carers Centre. This means they are members of the company limited by guarantee - something like shareholders, without the dividend or losses! Membership is free and entitles you to vote at AGMs and other special meetings to help shape the future of the organisation.
